My first Posting

Well I am really kind of excited because I have been saying for awhile now that I would like to start blogging. This class seems like it will be pretty cool. I don't have any background in library science, but I do have some experience working in technology. My degree is actually in Child and Family Development/Early Childhood Education, but I ended up being the technology instructor at my school. I have enjoyed every minute of it. After reading some of the articles and such that are part of the course I see how quickly I can get "out of the loop." It is amazing the changes that come with our world today and the Internet. It is fun and exciting and the best part is teaching my students all of the things you can do to learn with technology. I am excited about learning a lot in this course of the next few weeks.

  1. Hi Mandy!

    It's amazing how quickly technology changes, isn't it?

    From your post, it looks like you plan to keep blogging even after the course is over, is that accurate?

  2. I have an early childhood and middle grades degree and an instructional technology degree so I know where you are coming from. Is that not a southern cliche!? Love the picture of Uga! It is amazing the rapid growth of technology. I remember when I had to use DOS.

  3. Actually I think that cliche may be more of a hippie 60's thing. I speak from knowledge of both. :>}

  4. I see you have the Georgia Dawg! I love going to Athens and seeing all the decorated dogs. I want to have Sir R's picture taken with a few next time I'm there!

  5. Yes I am hoping to keep on blogging. Sorry to keep you guys hanging this week. I've had a sinus infection and been walking around in a haze with the last week of school and I never got my posts up. I am going to try and double up the next few days to be able to keep up....I have just felt SO bad. (Sorry to whine!) Thanks for subscribing. GO DAWGS! :-)

  6. Hope you are feeling better! I am also a HUGE dawg fan (graduated from there just a year ago, I visit Athens as often as I can). And I can imagine that teaching children technology is quite challenging!
